TVK leader Aadhav Arjuna is contesting the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections from the Villivakkam constituency in Chennai, emerging as one of the key faces of actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party in its electoral debut.

A former VCK functionary, Arjuna joined Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) ahead of the elections and now serves as general secretary for election campaign management, playing a central role in shaping the party’s strategy. His induction marked a significant addition to TVK’s leadership, with his consultancy firm also contributing to campaign planning and organisational structuring.

In Villivakkam, a constituency long dominated by the DMK, Arjuna is part of a high-profile three-cornered contest against DMK’s Karthik Mohan and AIADMK’s SR Vijayakumar. The seat, with a diverse electorate that includes working-class settlements, middle-class neighbourhoods and minority communities, has become a testing ground for TVK’s ability to challenge established Dravidian parties.

Arjuna’s campaign has focused on grassroots outreach, including visits to residential clusters and interactions with voters on civic issues such as housing, water supply and infrastructure gaps. However, he faces the challenge of limited local recall, with the party’s identity still closely tied to Vijay’s personal appeal.

His political journey has also seen moments of controversy. He exited the VCK following disciplinary action linked to remarks on 'monarchy rule', before aligning with TVK. Despite this, he has positioned himself as a vocal critic of the DMK leadership and an advocate for political change.

According to his election affidavit, Arjuna has declared assets worth over Rs 197 crore, reflecting his background in business and consultancy.
