Indian National Lok Dal leader Abhay Singh Chautala is the MLA from Haryana’s Ellenabad constituency and will be looking to defend it in the October 5 polls. He was the leader of opposition in the assembly from 2014 to 2019. In April 2024, Chautala was nominated by his party to contest the general election from the Kurukshetra constituency of Haryana but lost. The four-time MLA also served as the president of the Indian Olympic Association as well as the Boxing Federation of India. He is grandson of Devi Lal, former deputy prime minister of India.
